PARC

A Science to Policy dialogue (S2PD) and interface is required to apply the long-term visions of the above-mentioned European policies and PARC will be a direct contribution to these, notably to the CSS and to cross-linked actions. PARC will establish an EU-wide Research and Innovation (R&I) RA hub of excellence to support EU and national chemical RA and risk management (RM) authorities to address current, emerging and novel chemical safety challenges and enabling the transition to the next generation risk assessment (NGRA). The production of data and knowledge will enable RA institutions to give better advice to risk managers and decision-makers. This will contribute to a higher level of public health protection of Europe’s citizens and the environment and help to maintain and reinforce the trust that Europe’s citizens have in their RA and RM institutions. An expected co-benefit of a durable programme would also be to reinvigorate the human and environmental exposure, toxicology and ecotoxicology research community in Europe and contribute to developing European capacities in these domains.
