Sašo Džeroski presented the Artificial Intelligence for Science project

25/03/2025

On the second day of the 33rd JSI Days, Sašo Džeroski presented one of the gravity projects, Artificial Intelligence for Science (AI4Sci).

Abstract:

The AI4Sci project develops advanced artificial intelligence methods and demonstrates their applicability in various scientific domains. It explores explainable machine learning, foundation models, automated scientific modeling, and semantic technologies for open science. These AI methods are applied primarily in materials science and life sciences (including personalized medicine, plant biology, and environmental modeling), as well as in mathematics and computer science. Coordinated by the Jožef Stefan Institute, the project involves the Universities of Ljubljana and Maribor, the National Institute of Chemistry, and the National Institute of Biology.
